2001 Toyota Sienna

2001 Toyota Sienna is a minivan based on a front-drive Toyota Camry sedan platform,
assembled at the same Kentucky plant. It is equipped with antilock brakes with
standard v6 engine and 4-speed automatic transmission. It also features a low-tire-pressure
warning system with lights in the instrument panel. Unlike other front side airbags
which are installed in the base CE minivan, Sienna's airbags are located in the
midrange LE and upscale XLE. This device together with an antiskid system and
a rear-seat video entertainment system are optional for 2001.
Interior space includes two front buckets, middle-row bench, and a folding third-row
split bench to provide additional space. Standard on CE and LE is the passenger-side
sliding door. Optional on LE and standard on XLE is the dual sliding door. The
vehicle is aimed to compete with Chevrolet Venture, Dodge Caravan, Ford Windstar
and the upcoming Honda Odyssey.
