Toyota Company attempted to produce vans that would have a stand-out sale in
car market like the first Toyota van in 1984 and the Previa in 1991 but neither
of the two produce good sales. In 1997 the company decided to produce another
van based on a Toyota Camry sedan platform. Out to compete with Ford Windstar,
Dodge Caravan and Chevrolet Venture, the seven-seater Toyota Sienna minivan comes
equipped with a powerful V6 engine with 4-speed automatic transmission. It shifts
smoothly and matches the power exerted by the driver.
